FLOOR COATING INSTALLER
Garage Force is looking for part-time Garage Coating Applicators to join our staff. Ideal candidates are those that already have "gigs" but would like to transition to a higher paying and more engaging position.
As a Floor Coating Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of coatings on floors and surfaces. Most of our work focuses on garage floors; however, we apply coatings to surfaces such as, patios, porches walkways and basements.
We’re looking for candidates with a background in painting or construction but no experience is necessary because we will teach you everything needed to succeed. We offer a competitive compensation.
Responsibilities:
Preparing surfaces by scouring floors, repairing damage, or removing old paint
Operate general construction equipment such as large grinders, hand grinders, shop vacs, industrial vacuums, etc.
Mixing, matching, and applying coating systems and finishes to floor surfaces
Taping/Masking off areas as needed
Cleaning up supplies and equipment throughout the application process to maintain a safe and organized work environment
Requirements:
Must be dependable and on-time
Painting or construction background is a plus
Adhere to all company installation standards and procedures while doing installations and providing services
Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal/motor vehicle background check
Ability to travel in immediate area (No routine Overnight Travel)
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in changing environmental conditions such as, hot, cold humid, etc.
Ability to perform physical labor for 8-12 hours a day and able to lift at least 50 pounds
The ideal candidate will have experience in operating general construction equipment (Shop Vac, Generator, Handheld Angle Grinder, Large Floor Grinder, Shot Blaster, Painting Tools)
The position of Garage Coating Installer is a fast-paced position. Starting pay around $22-$28 per hour depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will advance quickly within a few months and become a Crew Leader with greater pay and increased responsibilities.
