Job Title: Warehouse/Driver
Job Purpose:
This position receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the Warehouse. Also delivers required materials to job sites. This position requires efficient handling of warehouse stock, from receipt of goods to their distribution. The warehouseman also ensures that the warehouse is clean, organized, and product/tools are readily available for projects, contributing to the overall productivity of the team
Essential Job Functions:
- Accepting deliveries to the warehouse
- Inspecting all shipments for accuracy in quantity and condition
- Report any issues to the warehouse supervisor or warehouse manager if there are any damage or discrepancies to the incoming material.
- Stocking accepted deliveries at the warehouse
- Safely and efficiently stock material in their designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper labelling and organization.
- Organize warehouse and materials. Keep warehouse clean and organized.
- Pick material based on job orders and project request, ensuring that all required items are prepared for timely delivery to jobsites.
- Package and prepare goods for delivery, ensuring that items are secured properly from damage during transportation.
- Delivering materials to job sites as scheduled, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Verifying that all material is secured on truck for transportation.
- Confirm material delivered to job sites with project foreman or leads.
- Inspect trucks and tools for any damage or ware that needs to be addressed.
Education and Experience:
- Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to drive company vehicles and be approved through company insurance company.
- Forklift certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy material and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
