Warehouse Operations Lead

This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity working directly for McCarthy Building Co and not a recruiting agency. Full benefits and paid time off are offered. Work hours are Monday through Friday 6:30AM to 3:00PM (hours may vary).

McCarthy is seeking a qualified and dedicated full-time Warehouse Operations Lead to support our construction equipment yard and office team. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent customer service and telephone skills, be able to juggle multiple priorities, and have a strong attention to detail.

KEY / SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate and supervise all daily warehouse activities (receiving, warehousing, shipping)

Coordinate material and equipment orders and deliveries with Vendors, Yard, and Project teams

Supervise all inbound/outbound shipments & verify proper documentation

Inventory management, verifying logical inventory against physical inventory.

Planning, Implementing, and monitoring the monthly cycle counts.

Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products

Supervise and develop associates in areas of responsibility by assigning duties and coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.

Communicate process opportunities and take corrective actions or remedies

Ensures efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment.

Maintain appropriate levels of stock items

Maintain accurate timekeeping records

Ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse to meet service standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have 3+ years of related supervisory experience, preferably in the construction industry.

High School Diploma

Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, able to multitask, meet critical deadlines with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail.

Excellent team building, customer service, and communication skills (verbal & written)

Ability to work with all levels of project staff and organization.

Working knowledge of warehouse/ mechanical equipment

Lift and move totes up to 50 pounds

Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head

For Southern California only: the range for this position is: $26 to $32 per hour. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
