EMPRO is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Forklift/Cherry Picker operator. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse distribution processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various warehouse functions, including order picking, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. A strong understanding of safety protocols and mechanical knowledge is crucial for success in this position.
Duties
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to facilitate materials handling.
Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
Load and unload shipments while adhering to safety standards and OSHA regulations.
Maintain an organized work environment by ensuring proper storage of materials and equipment.
Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch of goods.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure safe operation.
Experience
Previous experience in warehouse distribution or related fields is required.
Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems is preferred.
Experience operating heavy equipment such as cherry pickers or forklifts is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
