We are seeking a skilled Band Saw Operator to join our team. As a Band Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of saws to cut materials according to specifications. This is a Temp to Hire Position.
Responsibilities
Operate machines in accordance with process sheets and any other required paperwork (i.e., drawings, specifications, etc.).
Set up, operate and maintain a variety of saws to cut materials such as metal.
Inspect Machinery & make necessary adjustments/ replacements.
Read and interpret blueprints according to work orders.
Adjust saw blades to ensure accurate cuts.
Correctly process work via required paperwork and MRP system.
Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications
Understanding and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Machine Operator/ operating saws in an Industrial environment
Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Mechanical ability and knowledge of tools
Basic reading, writing and mathematics skills.
Well versed in reading blueprints, using measuring devices such as micrometer, caliper.
Must have saw operating or similar experience.
Work Schedule
1st shift: 11:30am – 8pm Monday – Friday
Pay Rate: $20-23 DOE
