Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our production team. This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various machinery, including Roll Forming Equipment, Punch Presses, Band Saws, Press Brakes, and Powder Coating Systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial machinery maintenance and the ability to work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to ensure our equipment runs at optimal performance levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance:
Perform regular and routine maintenance on Roll Forming Machinery, Punch Presses, Band Saws, Press Brakes, and Powder Coating Systems to ensure their efficient operation.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with machinery. Effectively perform repairs to minimize downtime and avoid production delays.
Mechanical & Electrical Systems:
Assist with the repair and maintenance of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
Machine Calibration:
Ensure that machines are calibrated and aligned correctly for precise operation. Perform adjustments or alignments as needed to maintain product quality and machine performance.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures while performing maintenance tasks. Ensure that machines are properly locked out and tagged out during maintenance work.
Documentation & Reporting:
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and any machine malfunctions or issues. Report to management regarding the status of machines and the need for any further actions or replacements.
Inventory Management:
Assist with maintaining a well-stocked inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring that the necessary components are readily available for repairs and maintenance tasks.
Collaboration:
Work closely with production teams to address equipment-related issues and reduce downtime. Collaborate with engineering teams on system upgrades and improvements.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical certification in industrial maintenance, machinery repair, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience working with Roll Forming Machinery, Punch Presses, Band Saws, Press Brakes, and Powder Coating Systems is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Knowledge of safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
Ability to stand, kneel, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
Work in a manufacturing plant with standard industrial safety requirements.
Exposure to mechanical systems, electrical systems, and power tools.
May require working on weekends, overtime, or holidays, depending on production needs.
