We are currently hiring a SET-UP TECHNICIAN in the City of Chino. This is a TEMP to HIRE opportunity.
Preferred experience in the packaging industry, including mechanical and electrical expertise, control panels, and troubleshooting. -
Hours Vary:
1st shift: 5am or 6am start time. Pay rate starting $27.00-$29.00 DOE
2nd shift: 3:00pm- 11:30pm or 3:30pm-12:00am pay rate starting $28.00-$30.00 DOE
Position Summary:
Performs set-ups and advanced adjustments to paper manufacturing machines and auxiliary equipment. Starts Pilot
Orders as directed and follows up with complete documentation of run.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Tasks/ Responsibilities including but not limited to:
· Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic
troubleshooting and repair of packaging machines.
· Perform set-ups and tear downs, diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
· Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines/equipment.
· Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
· Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
· Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
· Complete work orders and paperwork regarding daily maintenance and repair duties.
· Must be able to listen and follow directions.
· Read and understand work directions.
Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to apply various principles and practices in a variety of skilled-trade areas (e.g., plumbing, mechanical,
electrical, etc.).
· Knowledge of GMPs, lock out/ tag out, conveyors, mixers, gear boxes, control panels etc.
Education and Experience
· 2 years of experience in the cosmetic or food industry preferred.
· Forklift license
