Starting Salary

The starting pay is $17.75 per hour. To qualify for a higher pay rate, the candidate will have to provide documentation of relevant experience and qualifications.

About Us

We are looking for a Community Coach who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities.

About the Role

As a Community Coach, you will play a vital role in implementing a range of programs and activities that promote language, motor development, and social skills for children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with individuals who may have moderate behavior issues and ensure their safety and engagement in our Center programs.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with coordinators and team members to plan and execute activities aligned with individual service plans (ISP).

Create and implement diverse programs and activities that promote language skills, motor development, and social skills.

Engage in behavioral modification techniques.

Welcome and assist program participants, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Lead stimulating activities such as games, sports, dance, and art, fostering active participation and independence.

Manage documentation, progress tracking, and communication with families and caregivers.

Uphold our commitment as a Mandated Reporter, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

Skills and Requirements

Experience working with children, preferably those with special needs, or relevant education in special education or related fields.

12 semester or equivalent quarter units in Early Childhood Education or related courses that are acceptable to meet this standard.

A warm, friendly, and positive personality that resonates with children and adults alike.

Effective communication skills to interact with a diverse group including children, parents, and staff.

A commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment.

Ability to fulfill physical demands including lifting, assisting in swimming pools, etc.

Commitment to continuous learning and teamwork.

Work Schedule

Part-Time Position, Monday through Friday (can be 2-5 days per week)

Afternoon Shifts, Less than 20hrs per week
