Data Entry Clerk

The Data Entry Clerk performs a variety of clerical and data-entry duties to support accurate student records, assessments, attendance, scheduling, and reporting. The position ensures that school and district data systems are up to date and supports staff in maintaining data accuracy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Enter and maintain accurate student records, including enrollment, attendance, grades, schedules, and demographic information.

Assist in preparing reports for assessments, attendance, discipline, and accountability.

Verify data accuracy and follow up with staff to resolve discrepancies.

Maintain digital and physical student files following confidentiality laws.

Respond to requests for student information from authorized personnel

Perform general clerical duties: filing, scanning, data cleanup, and documentation.

Assist with registration, withdrawals, and incoming student records.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in data entry with strong accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to analyze and verify data for completeness and correctness.

Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
