Position Overview:

Job Summary:
Order selectors pick orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.
Active, physical role that includes operating an electric pallet jack, and/or forklift
Organizing and palletizing product to build customer orders
Other duties as assigned.
Safe working environment, working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and type of product being selected (i.e., non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen.)
Full Time Schedule:
Sunday - Friday
7:00 pm- until complete
Part Time Schedule:
Sunday, Monday, & Thursday
7:00 pm- 5:30 am
Essential Functions:
Hand select orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including dry, cooler, and freezer.
Operate assigned handheld scanner unit to find location and select product.
Stack product on pallets following proper selecting procedures (for example, no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.).
Engage an electric pallet jack, or forklift, to transport products.
Stage pallets for loading on proper dock locations.
Always follows Vitco’s preferred work methods, and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
Adhere to sanitation requirements to comply with the policy set forth by the company and by AIB (American Institute of Baking).
Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, SOS unit, and personal protective equipment.
Perform inspections, and safely operate all mechanical equipment.
Other duties may be assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
· 1 years’ food warehouse experience preferred.
· 6 months' experience operating an electric pallet jack or low-level picker preferred.
· Previous experience in the food service industry preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -10 degrees to over 60 degrees required.
Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 55 lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 55 per week
