A Front Desk Associate is the primary point of contact for a business, responsible for greeting guests, managing check-in and check-out processes, handling inquiries, processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a positive first impression by providing excellent customer service at the front desk or reception area.
Bilingual in Chinese Mandarin and English a huge plus.
Key responsibilities may include:
Guest Reception:
Welcoming and greeting guests upon arrival, providing information about the business and its services.
Check-in/Check-out Procedures:
Efficiently processing guest registrations, assigning rooms, collecting payment, and handling check-out procedures.
Reservation Management:
Taking and managing reservations, updating availability, and communicating with guests regarding booking details.
Inquiry Handling:
Answering phone calls, addressing guest questions, and resolving concerns promptly.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintaining accurate guest records, logging information, and updating spreadsheets.
Payment Processing:
Accepting cash, credit card, and other forms of payment, ensuring accurate transactions.
Facility Management:
Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the front desk area, ensuring supplies are stocked
Communication and Coordination:
Collaborating with other departments to address guest needs and provide seamless service.
Required Skills:
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests
Attention to detail to maintain accurate records and handle transactions properly
Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Basic computer proficiency for managing reservation systems and guest information.
