Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cabinet Maker to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, and the ability to produce exceptional custom cabinetry from start to finish. This role requires a professional who is passionate about their craft, works efficiently, and maintains a high standard of quality in all aspects of production.
Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of proven experience as a Cabinet Maker in a professional shop setting.
Strong proficiency in all aspects of cabinet construction, joinery, and finishing techniques.
Expertise in operating and maintaining a wide range of woodworking machinery and hand tools.
Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and cut lists.
Solid understanding of wood species, their properties, and best practices for working with different materials.
High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, materials, and layouts.
Select and prepare appropriate wood stock and other materials.
Operate a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and proficiently (e.g., table saws, miter saws, routers, jointers, planers, sanders, drills).
Cut, shape, and assemble cabinet components, including dados, rabbets, dovetails, mortise and tenon joints.
Construct cabinet boxes, face frames, doors, drawer boxes, and custom components.
Perform veneer work, laminating, and finishing processes as required (sanding, staining, painting, lacquering).
Install hardware such as hinges, drawer slides, and pulls.
Conduct quality checks on all finished products to ensure they meet specifications and high company standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cabinet construction or finish.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Collaborate effectively with team members, designers, and project managers.
