Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Peter the Painter. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of both residential and commercial painting projects. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently and/or as part of a team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and cleaning as necessary.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Mix and match colors to achieve desired results.
Inspect completed work for quality and make necessary touch-ups.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Assist with additional tasks such as drywall repair or plastering when required.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential and commercial painting
Proficiency in spraying, hand tools, and construction painting
Knowledge of basic math and color theory
Ability to read blueprints and work in construction sites
Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Traveling is a requirement for this position, as it involves engaging with clients in various locations. Candidates should be prepared for frequent travel to fulfill job responsibilities effectively. Travel is compensated with hotel, drive time and per diem.
