Trucking company has immediate opening for a heavy duty diesel mechanic.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic (Kenworth, Peterbilt, Cummins ISX, X15 engine & computer software or similar)
- Able to climb, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, lift 50 lbs. etc.
- Valid California driver’s license
- Must have reliable transportation
- Pass pre employment drug screen and physical
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Conduct inspections to determine vehicle condition
- Trouble shoot and diagnose engine problems and perform necessary repairs
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Communicate effectively with management and team members
- Provide after-hours road calls as needed
Compensation:
$30 - $35 DOE
