Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to manage the flow of containers by verifying container status and scheduling pickups as most efficiently. The Operations Agent will work closely with the company’s dray dispatcher, warehouse staff, ports, shipping companies and clients. As well as assisting with billing and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer incoming phone call, e-mails and respond to customer’s requests
Taking bookings from customers
Track container status with the terminal and coordinate pick up with the dray agent
Manage workflow with dray dispatcher.
Schedule pick-ups and deliveries
Update shipments in TMS.
Provide customer with status updates
Cultivate a positive and enduring relationship with Customers, Vendors, and colleagues
Must be able to work in a very fast-paced environment
Must be able to multi-task
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic computer knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook)
Accurate data entry skills
Strong mathematical skills
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of import and export documents
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
Billing experience.
Ocean Freight & Port flow experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
