PRT Trucking is looking for a Night shift Dispatcher who can communicate work assignments to drivers and is responsible for monitoring and verify the successful completion of assignments. Communicate clearly, professionally and in a timely manner. Represents the company to to its customers and the public in a professional and courteous manner. The position requires excellent organization skills and multitasking ability.
Responsibilities :
Answer phones, enter orders into our Dispatch software, provide drivers with their route information.
Monitor and ensure all loads are assigned to drivers.
Track freight to its destination to ensure on time delivery.
Troubleshoots and resolves potential driver and scheduling problems before they result in a service failure.
Send hourly updates to our customers.
May be required to preform other duties as assigned.
Job Duties:
Answer incoming customers inquiries.
Record customer information with in our customer service database.
Engage with our clients and drivers in a friendly and professional manner, while actively listening to their concerns.
Offer support and solutions to customers in accordance with the company's customer service policies.
Qualifications :
High School Graduate or GED required.
Proficiency with Microsoft office applications such as Outlook-Excel and Word.
Ability to prioritize and plan activities on the schedule.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communications, and writing skills.
Experience in data entry.
Language: English and Spanish (Preferred)
Experience in Transportation 2-3 year minimum.
Shift :
Wednesday thru Saturday one week- Thursday thru Saturday second week.
Shift time: 6:00 pm to 6am (12 hour Shift)
Salary: 20.00
Work Location : One location.
Work environment : Office and walking the yard.
