The position is a PART TIME Job Coach. You would be picking up /transporting Adults and taking them to community areas such as the library, a park, an exercising place or class. During this time with them, you are the supervisor and advocate.
We are looking for individuals that can work a Monday-Friday 8:30am to 2pm shift. You would drive from Moreno Valley. Mileage is paid during working hours.
The skills and qualifications for this position include but not limited to:
1. Desire to help Adults who are learning challenged with encouragement, respect and overall engagement with them on a one to one basis. On the job training on the duties will be provided.
2. Great communication skills to understand the limitations of certain individuals and creative ways to work with them.
3. Previous experience working or interacting with adults with learning challenges which could be family member experience as well.
Must have a valid California Drivers License in good standing. Able to a clear criminal background and drug screen in accordance to California Employment Law.
Must be over 21 yrs old and able to get a CPR/First Aid Cert, TB clearance.
