This is a part-time Job Coach position. You are coaching adults with developmental disabilities.
We are looking for individuals who can work a Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 2 pm shift.
You will meet with a group of adults at a community/public area. For example, a Mall, a library, a park,/or an exercise class.
During this time with them, you will not only be supervising but will be helping them learn life skills and social skills, which include interacting with them on a 1:1 basis.
The skills and qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:
1. Desire to help Adults who are learning challenged with encouragement, respect, and overall engagement with them on a one-to-one basis. On-the-job training on the duties will be provided.
2. Great communication skills to understand the limitations of certain individuals and creative ways to work with them.
3. Previous experience working or interacting with adults with learning challenges, which could be a family member's experience as well.
Must have a valid California driver's License in good standing. Able to conduct a clear criminal background and drug screen in accordance with California Employment Law.
Must be over 21 years old and able to get a CPR/First Aid Cert, and TB clearance.
