We are LGB/LA Port Drayage company and looking for Day & Night Dispatchers.
$24 $35 an Hour depend on experience.
Job Description:
- Dispatch intermodal trucks for both local and over-the-road assignments, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Maintain regular communication with drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
- Liaise seamlessly with the Port of LGB/LA Terminals, facilitating the flow of information and resolving any issues
that arise.
- Monitor import/export container statuses using various channels, including port websites and call centers.
- Track shipments, provide timely updates, and enter shipment details into our proprietary systems.
- Offer prompt and effective responses to customer inquiries, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Update shipment statuses and coordinate appointments through port and terminal systems.
- Manage general office duties, such as email correspondence and phone calls, and assist with administrative tasks as
needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of port drayage experience, with knowledge of LA/LB ports.
- Strong organizational skills related to dispatching and planning.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of Excel and Outlook program.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
