We are a local trucking company based in Ontario, CA and we are looking for an experienced Trucking Industry dispatcher.
Job Description:
Coordinate and assign equipment and loads to drivers. Ensure drivers are meeting their pickup and delivery times.
Communicate with customers regarding pickups, deliveries, issues and concerns.
Provide regular updates to Terminal Manager on any service issues
Track and update equipment log (location & status).
Negotiate rates and coordinate backhauls with brokers and load boards, ITS & Power DAT
Utilize analytics to maximize revenue and profits
Develop relationships with brokers to acquire consistent freight lanes
Other duties and tasks as assigned by Terminal Manager and President
Job Requirements :
Dependable and punctual
Experienced in truck dispatching and driver management.
Proficient with email and Microsoft excel
Good communication skills
Positive attitude and problem solving skills
Good understanding of FMCSR's (Hours of Service and Axle Weight & Spacing).
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Must be great with driver and customer relations.
Bi-lingual preferred
