Description We are in search of a Controller based in Irvine, California. This role primarily involves overseeing the operations of the Accounting Department, streamlining accounting systems, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. The Controller will play a crucial role in managing consolidations and preparing financial statements. Responsibilities Manage the operations of the Accounting Department, including areas such as accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and payroll. Drive transformation and improvements in controls and accounting systems. Handle consolidations in a multiple entity environment and review monthly segmented management financials. Ensure consistent accounting / tax policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards. Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements. Support the full month-end close cycle including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash, Financial Statement preparation and other ad hoc reporting as required. Collaborate with other business units to gather financial information for monthly close. Coordinate monthly reconciliation/consolidation efforts to report accurate and timely data. Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. Provide benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance. Liaise with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual audit.
