Description Robert Half is currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team for a long-term contract / temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Complete other projects as required
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners Requirements - Financial reporting systems proficiency is a plus
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Month end closings experience
Foundational knowledge in journal entries
US GAAP experience preferred
Proven knowledge of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Account reconciliation experience
Deep understanding of general ledger
5+ years of overall general accounting experience
Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong time management and organizational skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Proficient in ERP systems
