Description We are searching for a Sr. Accountant to be part of our team located in Laguna Beach, California. This role involves handling complex financial transactions and conducting financial analysis to support property performance evaluations. The Sr. Accountant will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations related to real estate accounting and reporting.Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for commercial real estate properties. Manage the full cycle of property accounting tasks, including rent roll analysis, property budgets, and lease administration. Conduct financial analysis to support property performance evaluations and investment decisions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to real estate accounting and reporting. Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and prepare necessary documentation. Provide supervision, mentorship, and training to entry level accountants and accounting staff. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting practices. Oversee the use of accounting software and systems, ensuring data integrity and effective utilization. Handle complex financial transactions and reporting. Prepare and submit required reports and filings. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is essential Extensive experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries management Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation Experience with Month End Close processes Familiarity with NetSuite and Oracle for accounting purposes Proficiency in SAP for financial management Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Relevant certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is advantageous Experience in a senior accounting role is desirable Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
