In this role you will be responsible for setting and implementing strategic direction for the implementation, configuration, development, and support services for Enterprise Health Systems like an Electronic Health Record (EHR) program for our Federal Health customers such as HHS, VA, and Military Health. As part of the Fed Health Sector leadership team, you will collaborate with management; as well as, growth, clinical, business, financial and operational staff. You will provide support and leadership for the planning, acquisition, management, and implementation of systems and applications necessary to support the clinical, business, financial, and operational needs. This role will be a strategic advisor for development, acquisition, implementation, integration, and support of complex applications and system software.Job Specific DutiesSupports Fed Health Sector growth objectives related to the implementation of the Enterprise Health Systems.

Develops a close relationship with customers, partners, , and staff to provide cost effective systems that meet customer needs, providing consultation as appropriate from an information systems and strategic perspective.

Along with Sector and Business Area leadership, sets management priorities, oversees all formalized project and strategic plans.

Establishes methodologies for the implementation and/or development of state-of-the art healthcare systems to ensure systems meet quality, industry, and customer satisfaction standards.

Establishes standards and guidelines to ensure effective communication and coordination among all stakeholders.

Provides strategic direction for Enterprise Health Systems like an EHR, and recommends future projects based on recent trends in the healthcare, technology industries, and customer needs. Investigates the use of new technology to improve business processes.

Advises on and keeps informed on HIPAA, privacy, and security standards for protected health information.

Familiarity with Health Information Exchange (HIE) solutions, as well as the Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP) open standards.

Understanding of the 21st Century Cures Act.

Exposure to Population Health solutions managing a diverse patient population focused on analytics and data sharing.

Effectively develop and monitor high performing teams.

Prepare and provide productivity assessments.

QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience:Master’s Degree in related field such as HealthCare IT strongly preferred. Experience or degrees in Informatics/Nursing is an additional plus.

10+ years of experience supporting large Federal Healthcare systems

Significant / proficient experience successfully implementing electronic health record systems

5+ years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment

10+ years of progressive experience in managing large application systems support teams in a distributed computing environment with an emphasis on project management

PMPor DAU Project Management certification

This position is a remote role, but must be willing and able to travel up to 25% at times to customer and senior leadership meetings.

Experience working with multiple Federal Health customers

Experience in vendor management; ensuring products and services are acquired in a cost-effective and timely manner

Experience setting policies, procedures, equipment standards, strategies, and documentation standards

Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent interpersonal and public speaking skills including briefings to executive leadership.

Very organized and strategic thinking.

Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with customers, partners and peers.

Ability to use logical and analytical thinking to interpret technical data and solve a broad range of problems.

Able to collect and interpret data related to program operating and financial performance.
