Description
Robert Half Technology is actively looking for a hardworking Network Engineer with strong knowledge of networking hardware and software. Are you a self-driven individual who possesses a strong knowledge of interfacing, Internet protocols, security, server, and network infrastructure? Then we cannot wait to receive your application for this Network Engineer role. This Network Engineer position is an opportunity for full-time employment and is based in the St. Louis, MO area.
What you get to do every day
- Set up and manage network test facilities
- Maintain a secure transfer of data to a variety of locations via internal and external networks
- Work alongside vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on implementing, optimizing, and consistently managing of networks
- Engineer enterprise data, voice, and video networks by using traditional and creative methods
- Provide high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including hardware, hubs, bridges and routers
Requirements
- 3+ years networking experience
- Well versed in network design and implementation strategies
- Foundational knowledge in Network Security
- Adeptness in UNIX
- VPNs (virtual private networks) experience
- Strong familiarity with TCP/IP
- Comprehensive knowledge of Fortinet Firewalls
- Demonstrated knowledge of Linux
- General familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server
- Network Security experience
