Hiring an Accountant – Moving Industry Experience Preferred
Seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the moving or logistics industry, and will be responsible for managing financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
Position Overview: As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, payments, and receipts
Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial data
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Assist in payroll processing and tax filings
Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Handle any additional duties as assigned by management
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in accounting (moving or logistics industry preferred)
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
