Westside Habitats LLC is a Los Angeles based property management company, specializing in revitalizing apartment buildings in some of the city’s best neighborhoods.
We are looking for a self-motivated professional with knowledge and experience in accounting. The ideal candidate must be able to prioritize many tasks in a fast-paced environment and must demonstrate a thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices.
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for assisting the accounting department with accounting and bookkeeping functions. Ability to multi-task and work under time constraints.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Inventory count, reconciliation and paybacks
Monthly reconciliations of GL accounts; bank reconciliations, Home Depot reconciliation
Print monthly P&L report
Monthly mortgages
Scan
Enter into excel
Enter into AppFolio
Assist with insurance if necessary
Maintain general ledger by verifying, posting and reconciling transactions
Projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Team Player
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Proficient in Excel and
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Previous experience in property management/real estate, accounting, or similar business environment
Familiarity with Excel functions and formulas, AppFolio, and/or Yardi
Organization skills and the ability to prioritize workflow
Ability to handle multiple tasks, and to work independently in an organized manner
Excellent written and communication skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
AA Degree or BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration and/or 1 year of experience as accounting clerk or preferred.
