We are a 35 year old machine shop in Huntington Park and in 2017, the owner opened a 2nd company manufacturing welding machines. We are looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper who can help establish accounting procedures for the tracking of inventories and payments between the two companies- operating under the same roof. This individual needs to have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise software. General Ledger Management is necessary to ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately. The goal is to establish procedures whereby the companies can prepare monthly closings and generate financial statements and balance sheets for management review.
Bilingual, English/Spanish would be helpful but not required.
Responsibilities:
-Manage all businesses accounting / banking concerns (ie. AP, AR banking deposits, reconciliations)
-Prepare financial statements as needed
-Provide support to CPA for tax reporting
-Manage w9 retrieval and process 1099 reporting at year-end
-Manage licensing and permits, keeping up to date
-Process bi-weekly payroll
-Report /record company data
-Maintain organization of company documents
-Advanced use of QuickBooks Enterprise, Microsoft Software and Google Workspace
-Process sales tax filing
-Maintain work calendar of events
-Assist with any other company needs
Requirements:
-At least 10 years of experience in bookkeeping
-Must be available 40 hours per week
-Must work well in a fast paced environment
-Must have the ability to work seamlessly with others
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Highly organized and detail oriented
-Outstanding leadership skills
-Be a team player
