Position: Full-Time, Full Charge Bookkeeper & Tax Return Assembler
We are a growing Tax and Bookkeeping/Financial Services Firm in Valencia that is looking for a highly organized and detail- oriented individual. Individuals must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have the desire and ability to grow with the position & the firm and must be able to handle all tasks listed below. Must be available to work evenings, weekends & overtime during tax season (January 2-April 30 & September 1-October 17).
Bookkeeper job duties include, but are not limited to:
Full Charge Bookkeeping from Bank Reconciliation to Financial Statements on QuickBooks Desktop and Online. QuickBooks knowledge is required
Minimum 3 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience working in an accounting office
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
Must be a fast typist & MUST have organizational skills
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must understand Debits & Credits
Preparation of Payroll & Payroll Tax Deposits
Preparation of Quarterly/Annual Payroll Tax Returns
Preparation of W-2s/W-3s & 1099s/1096s
Preparation of Quarterly/Annual Sales Tax Returns
Preparation of Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Sales Tax Deposits
Preparation of Annual Business Licenses
Preparation of Form 571-Ls
Tax Assembler Duties include, but not limited to:
Knowledge of Lacerte Tax Software a must
Assist with annual tax organizers and mailings to clients
Setting up new clients on Lacerte & paperless file system DMS (Document Management System)
Assembly of tax returns, paper printing & pdf copies & obtaining all required documents & signatures from clients
Scanning of tax documents to DMS
Proofread data entry done by tax preparers
Filing and keeping track of any Individual & Business Income Tax Extensions needed
E-filing or paper filing Individual & Business income tax returns
Processing payments on Square
Staying up to date on tax changes related to e-filing or paper filing income tax returns
Updating & rolling over all tax related forms from year to year
Backing up phones and receptionist duties if needed
Ability to multitask, be flexible, to work quickly and deliver under tight deadlines in a calm manner and work in a team environment
Must be ok with dogs
