Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper

Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage the financial transactions and payroll for our local restaurant chain in Redondo Beach, El Segundo, and Torrance CA. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate records for daily operations across our three store locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, handling daily sales receipts, managing payroll, and ensuring timely reconciliation of bank, credit card, and third-party accounts. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus, and proficiency with ADP payroll systems is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice & Receipts Management:
o Record and process weekly invoices from vendors.
o Collect, record, and file daily sales receipts from all store locations.
Tax & Compliance:
o Calculate monthly sales tax accurately.
o Ensure timely payment of all applicable sales taxes.
o Maintain proper documentation for tax filings and audits.
Reconciliations & Reporting:
o Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
o Reconcile accounts from third-party food delivery services.
o Prepare and run financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
o Assist with year-end closing and other periodic financial tasks.
Payroll Administration:
o Maintain the company’s ADP account.
o Process biweekly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
o Manage employee deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related adjustments.
o Resolve any payroll discrepancies in collaboration with HR.
General Administrative Duties:
o File and maintain organized records of all financial transactions.
o Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights.
o Assist in budgeting and forecasting as needed.
o Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
o High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
o Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role, preferably in the hospitality or retail industry.
o Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
o Experience with ADP or similar payroll systems.
o Strong numerical proficiency and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position requiring between 8-12 hours per week.
The role is based at our headquarters in Manhattan Beach, CA, with occasional visits to our other store locations.
