We are a major classic car company and rapidly expanding. We are looking for the right candidate who can grow with the company long term. We would like to hire an assistant operations/floor manager for our fast-paced dealership to help supervise all floor activities, including assisting customers, monitoring staff and managing inventory. The assistant operations/floor manager is responsible for ensuring that all back-end activities and requirements are met.
Below are some of the tasks but not limited to the following:
Monday - Saturday 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM
(Saturdays 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
The assistant operations manager should have excellent interpersonal skills and be highly organized.
Must be able to delegate duties to mechanics/detailers/photographers/vehicle inspections
Making sure that the staff is properly trained for each role.
The candidate should be an excellent multi-tasker
Minimum 3-5 years prior experience in an assistant managerial position
Monitor and manage employees work schedule and attendance
Oversee and supervise staff
Train staff to perform designated job duties
Manage inventory
Assist customers with any queries or requests
Administer pay slips to staff
Supervise staff and resolve any conflicts or complaints
Monitoring the dealership and ensuring it is properly provisioned and staffed
Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective or efficient processes and strategies
Generating reports and presenting information to upper-level managers
Ensuring employees follow company policies and procedures
Time and project management skills
Other duties to ensure the overall health and success of the business
Prior experience in Sales would be advantageous
Highly organized
Valid driver license needed
Be able to purchase parts and make sure that the showrooms are organized and clean
Help with organizing / moving cars
Knowledge of cars and mechanics is welcome
Purchasing
Helping all back-end departments as needed.
Assist in closing each night
