Establishing a residential mental health treatment center

Hello,

The mental health industry has boomed in recent years, spurred by Covid, legislative support, and other reasons. I invite you to open a mental health business, at this opportunistic time.

I have worked at several residential mental health treatment centers and would like to help a wealthy individual set up one. I will charge a 2% equity stake in exchange for my services. First, I will explain the business model briefly, then my services.

Residential mental health treatment centers treat people who have mild to moderate mental health problems; small to mid-sized facilities might generate anywhere from a few million to several million dollars in annual revenue. A small facility is usually a 6-bed house, and only requires a few employees, such as 1 full-time therapist, 1 full-time manager, 1 psychiatrist, and several technicians that work 24/7 (morning, evening, and overnight). The business receives up to $2,000-$4,000 per day per client, and with 6 clients at maximum capacity, can earn a few million to several million dollars in annual revenue.

This business model of residential mental health treatment centers connects to two other, related business models, which you can segway your clients to. These related business models are:

PHP: Partial Hospitalization Programs generally offer intensive treatment during the day but allow patients to return home in the evenings. Revenue can vary, but PHPs might generate from $1 million to $10 million annually, depending on their size and patient volume.

IOP: Intensive Outpatient Programs provide treatment a few times a week, typically in the evenings or during the day. Their revenue can range similarly, from around $1 million to $5 million per year, again depending on size and patient numbers.

As I have only been a technician at several centers, I lack the breadth of knowledge required to independently consult you on all aspects necessary to set up a treatment center. I can, however, perform these services:

- Answer basic questions

- Connect you with a consultant or company that specializes in establishing residential mental health treatment centers

- Post ads on job boards to help with recruiting employees

- Visit properties to find one to lease for the first location

- Other duties, as needed

Please contact me at 310.619.9923 or by email.

Thank you,

Elliot Stiller
