We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier / Vehicle Registration Clerk to join our smog check station. The ideal candidate will handle daily customer transactions, process DMV registration renewals and title transfers, and assist in maintaining smooth front-office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers, provide excellent service, and handle all front-desk interactions.
Process payments for smog checks, DMV renewals, and related services (cash, credit, debit).
Complete DMV registration renewals, title transfers, and issue new stickers or license plates using authorized registration systems.
Verify vehicle and customer information for accuracy before submitting DMV transactions.
Maintain accurate cash drawer, reconcile payments at end of shift, and prepare daily sales reports.
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and provide information about station services.
Maintain organized records of transactions, receipts, and registration paperwork.
Ensure compliance with all DMV and state regulations.
Keep the front desk and customer waiting area clean, organized, and welcoming.
Assist with basic clerical or administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a cashier, DMV clerk, or in a customer service role preferred.
Familiarity with DMV registration systems or willingness to be trained.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and documentation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Basic computer skills (typing, data entry, point-of-sale systems).
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
