This is a very exciting time in the funeral industry with families interested in green or sustainable options and transparency in the industry. We are looking for a person who is passionate about helping people and protecting the environment.

You will have the opportunity to assist with funeral and administrative duties at our location in Los Angeles. Anubis provides modern eco-friendly and compassionate death care. We look to ancient Egypt and the dignity and respect they had for their dead by striving to have the same level of care for our families, but we also look to the future by implementing modern technology to reduce our impact on the environment. Anubis offers water cremation as well as flame cremation. Times have changed, and cremation is becoming the most common option families choose for their loved ones. More than 60% of families choose cremation and by 2045, 85% will choose cremation and over 60% of families are interested in green options.

As our Funeral Arranger, you will care for families by assisting in the arrangement and preparation for their loved one’s cremation. Our ideal candidate is passionate about making a difference in the environment as well as detail oriented and a team player. This position is part-time to start with the potential to expand to full-time.

Role and Responsibilities

Communicate with families, physicians, and other entities by phone, email, and in person

meetings.

Provide administrative support to the company in various areas.

Ensure that all paperwork for cremation is completed correctly.

Collect payments, prepare invoices, and assist in collections.

Arrange funeral and memorial services.

Transfer cremains to urns, delivering cremains, transporting cremains and decedents, and picking up death certificates.

Be versatile and willing to jump in on new and significant tasks as our small business

needs.

Treat grieving families with sensitivity and utmost respect.

Maintain cleanliness of facility.

Qualifications

Some college, associates degree, or bachelors degree preferred

Detail oriented. A can-do attitude and an enthusiasm for helping people, protecting the environment, and working with technology.

Proficient with office administrative duties and various office software.

Must be able to follow instructions and abide by state regulations. Willingness to learn and accept feedback is a huge plus.

Safety and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills and high levels of compassion and integrity.

Previous funeral industry experience preferred but not required.

Good driving record. Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 to 75 lbs.
