We are looking for a capable and competent Office Clerk to support our company’s daily operations. The Office Clerk will undertake a variety of activities in the office ranging from filing and answering the phone to bake bookkeeping.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Carry out clerical duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails and preparing documents, including office correspondence, memos and shipping documents
Communicate with customers, employees and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders and address complaints.
Perform bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing, emailing, monitoring accounts receivable and shipment tracking
Maintain general office files including job files, vendor files and other files related to operations
Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail (envelopes, samples, packages, etc.)
Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers etc. and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc.
Assist in office management and organization procedures
Monitor stocks of office supplies (paper clips, stationery etc.) and report when there are shortages
Keep departmental printers and copiers operating properly and alert management when repair is required
Abide by all company rules, policies and regulations
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Proven experience as office clerk or other clerical position
Working knowledge of office devices and processes
Strong attention to detail
Customer-service orientation
Ability to lift and move heavy products and supplies on a regular basis (20+ pounds at a time unassisted)
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks
Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Team player with organizational skills
