Hey there,
We’re a Venice based surf school that is looking to add 1-2 instructors as we start heading into the busy season.
About You:
- No experience necessary, you should know how to surf (you don’t have to be great at it)
- Are familiar with the ocean and are not intimidated in conditions under 5’
- Are willing to learn our system and methods of instruction
- Reliable transportation and/or located close to Venice
- Friendly, with a passion for helping people
- Willing to learn and grow with us.
Preference for candidates who are Lifeguard, CPR/AED certified, if you aren’t we can pay to get you certified.
About Us:
Out of the pandemic we grew to become one of the most well-regarded surf schools in Los Angeles. We have more regular customers than any other school in Los Angeles and that’s because we teach real technique that really works and helps our students progress much faster than our competitors. This isn’t a business purely about making money but rather one built on passion to bring people into lineups with solid etiquette, skills, and ocean awareness. We have big plans this year including a surf retreat in the fall that we’d love to involve our instructors in. Who we hire is critical for us to help reach our goals as well as protect what we’ve already built.
About the position:
As we creep into July our busy season is upon us so we’re looking to hire and train someone immediately. Work would begin as part time, but can transition into a full time job if you are committed to it. Pay will start at $21 per hour but can escalate as you take on more responsibilities, we also offer incentives where if you help us in ways such as: get repeat business, sell merchandise, sell our retreat or find ways to help us make more money for us, we will share a portion of that with you.
