We are hiring! Play Atelier (Play) provides hourly and daily drop-in childcare in a safe, positive, and fun-loving environment. The heart of our program is inspired by the joy and wonder of childhood, where excitement, learning, and laughter are always just a moment away.
Everyone needs a day of Play!
We are in search of amazing staff members to join our team. Staff members will supervise, engage with, and care for children age 2yrs-7yrs as they explore a multitude of activities throughout the day. A day of Play is intended to be a celebration of childhood! Children will play in our beautiful outdoor space as well as have access to daily gardening (including our worm bin) and propagating plants, exploring light and shadow, and a multitude of sensory options to stimulate the senses and a child's curiosity. Art mediums will be explored daily. Children will have the opportunity to work with clay, tempera, water colors, collage, felting, wire, crafts, and much more!
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, positive, dependable, has classroom management skills, and LOVES children. This is a great entry level opportunity for college students and caregivers who are newer to the field.
Requirements:
- 3 to 12+ (completed or in progress) units in Early Childhood Education courses
- Fingerprint clearance as required by the state of CA from the FBI and the DOJ
- All medical and immunization requirements per the state of CA
- Must be reliable and conscientious. Every team member must support and show up - this is a non-negotiable for our team!
Full and Part Time positions are available (minimum of 25 hours a week)
Play is open from 7:30am-6:30pm Monday through Friday
