JOB DESCRIPTION
Looking for a dynamic tutor/teacher for my very bright 15yo who does not attend in-person classes (lots of anxiety). He is a very collaborative learner who learns and incorporates best when facts are interwoven with context and, where possible, applicability to today. He is very curious and a natural systems thinker and will respond best if you also love the subject matter.
Since COVID, he's had very little formal education other than math. Intellectually, as a student, he performs pretty much at or above grade level despite academic knowledge gaps.
FREQUENCY
Maybe 4 - 5 hours a week (per subject) split among 2 or 3 days. If the candidate does both topics, then a daily class schedule of perhaps 1.5 hours might work. (He currently has math tutoring from 3:30 - 5 M-W).
REQUIREMENTS
-Proven experience and qualifications (credentials, resume, references, etc.).
-Cannot be an employee of the LAUSD
I'm budgeting around $60 per hour for this.
