Now Hiring: Part-Time Driving Instructors – Flexible Hours with Competitive Pay
The Hills Driving School is seeking dedicated and professional part-time driving instructors to join our growing team. We offer the highest pay rates for driving instructors in Los Angeles County: $24/hour during training (typically completed in under 2 weeks) and $30/hour once you obtain your Driving Instructor License. This position provides flexible hours and the potential to transition to full-time.
We are looking for both new and experienced instructors who can commit to working 1–3 days a week or 3–8 hours per day. This role is perfect for those seeking a flexible schedule while making a positive impact on the lives of new drivers.
Requirements:
Must be 25 years or older
High School Diploma or GED required
Valid California Driver License
Ability to pass an FBI background check
Clean driving record (within the past 6 years)
Our most successful instructors are those who are eager to learn, possess a caring personality, and are committed to helping others succeed. Experience is helpful, but not necessary!
Preferred Qualifications:
Current Driving Instructor License (priority given to licensed candidates)

Proximity to our Sherman Oaks office is a plus.
Job Details:
Pick up the school car from our Vanowen location for lessons.
Paid commute to student locations.
A typical 2-hour lesson results in 3–4 hours of pay.
We service areas from Calabasas to Northridge to Santa Monica.

Paid Training Provided: We offer paid training, and new hires have completed the DMV licensing process in as little as two weeks. Our training program is designed to set you up for success.
This is a teaching position, and experience alone (20-40 years of driving) doesn’t qualify you. Patience, a willingness to learn, and a passion for teaching are key!
