Oak Knoll Montessori School is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Toddler Assistant.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Love and respect children, fostering a nurturing environment aligned with Montessori philosophy.
Value teamwork and demonstrate the ability to work well with coworkers by being flexible, adaptable, and coachable.
Exhibit reliability, a positive attitude, and readiness to support the classroom immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Guide as needed, ensuring uninterrupted instruction and assistance where appropriate.
Foster children's independence by encouraging self-directed activity and respecting their natural development.
Maintain a calm demeanor to provide a comforting and stable presence in the classroom.
Ensure children’s safety during lunchtime and naptime.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that promotes learning and respect for materials.
Assist with material preparation and demonstrate a willingness to learn new methods and techniques.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children aged 18 months to 3 years.
ECE-12 units (or currently in progress), including a minimum of 3 units in infant/toddler care.
Familiarity with Montessori principles is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
