We are seeking teachers with recent middle or high school classroom experience in Southern California to join our team at both of our locations. Our program is growing and we have multiple positions open (see specific subject/skill areas below).
This is a highly professional and supportive environment where you would work closely with the CEO and a team of 2-5 other experienced teachers to serve in a dynamic after-school setting that is more affordable than private tutoring. It's a lively, diverse, multi-age learning community for students in 4th-12th grades. As a teacher, you'll continue to grow pedagogically and professionally as you serve students one-on-one and in small groups.
If you are transitioning out of the classroom but want to stay in education professionally, or if you are a full-time teacher looking for supplemental evening hours, this could be a good fit for you.
This is a part-time, in-person employee position at our center - minimum 10 hours per week starting at 3:00pm, up to 20+ hours per week plus benefits may be available.
Specifically, we are seeking expertise in the following areas:
In Culver City:
math (middle school through Alg II)
"Dealbreaker" qualifications (we will not consider your application unless you have):
classroom teaching experience in the last five years in middle or high school in Southern California
reliable availability - this is an employee position in-person at our center, with steady hours during the school year
ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
small group classroom management skills
