Preschool Sensory Art Teacher (Los Angeles)
Compensation: $20 - $26 per hour, plus sick pay & bonuses

Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic ARTS and CRAFTS TEACHER to join our team and provide hands-on, fun, and sensory art experiences for toddlers. You will be responsible for leading art classes for children aged 0-5 years old, encouraging their creativity, and helping them to develop their fine motor skills through messy, tactile experiences. Locations all around Los Angeles County. 10 - 35 hours per week, paid training begins immediately.
Responsibilities:
Implementing lesson plans, preparing a variety of sensory-based activities for toddlers, utilizing a range of materials such as paint, glue, clay, pasta
Creating a fun and engaging learning environment that encourages exploration, experimentation, and creativity
Overseeing the classroom, being fully aware of the many moving parts, and working closely with parents to encourage their involvement in the class
Fostering a positive and nurturing relationship with each child, and help them to develop their social and emotional skills through group activities and play
Maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times, ensuring that children are supervised and supported appropriately
Attend meetings with other teachers and management to discuss class plans, progress, and any issues that arise
Sanitizing and upkeep of the class materials used, and staying in communication with management when items are needed in the studio
Set up, break down, and maintain the studio, ensuring that we create an inviting classroom at peak cleanliness every class. FOH and BOH duties included.
Requirements:
Must be available consistently on weekend days + some weekdays
Experience working with toddlers and a passion for helping them to learn and grow
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with parents, colleagues, and management
Excellent organizational and time management skills
An eye for details, ensuring all designated tasks are completed in a timely manner
A commitment to creating a safe and supportive learning environment
Reliable transportation and insurance (public transit or Uber will not work for this position)
Must be a decent singer and comfortable with leading songs and dances

- At ease performing in front of a group of kids and adults
- Is naturally able to connect with kids and adults
- Is a self starter who is able to work well independently, and multitask, in a fast-paced class environment with confidence
