We are seeking a dedicated and professional Swim Instructor to join our team at a private school in Chatsworth, CA. This is a short-term teaching opportunity ideal for instructors who enjoy working with children and are passionate about promoting water safety and swim skills.
About the Position:
Students: 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade (ages 8–11).
Schedule: Once a week, 4-hour session.
Program Dates: Begins the week of September 15, 2025, and runs for 6 weeks.
Pool Environment: Heated, outdoor pool.
Safety: A certified lifeguard will be on deck during all swim sessions.
Responsibilities:
Provide structured swim instruction appropriate to age and skill level.
Teach water safety fundamentals and swim stroke development.
Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging learning environment.
Work alongside staff to ensure student safety and program success.
Requirements (must meet all):
Verifiable experience teaching children to swim.
Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
Professional, reliable, and enthusiastic about working with children.
