Flix FX, a creative design and fabrication studio in North Hollywood, is seeking 3-D CAD designers, 5 Axis and 3 Axis CNC CAM operators, and metal machinists (welders), to join our team. We are specifically looking for candidates who are recent college graduates, or have mid-level experience. Qualifications:
A successful candidate will be a creative thinker that is multi-faceted, and has hands-on specialty experience with: CNC CAM, 3-D CAD, Laser & Plasma Cutting, and/or Metal Fabrication.
Minimum of 2 years specialty fabrication experience.
● 3-D Drawing & Modeling & Tool-Pathing Experience.
● Fusion 360º CAD CAM and/or SolidWorks Experience (Preferred).
● Mill & Lathe Experience.
● PlasmaCAM & Light-burn Experience (a plus).
● Experience with Multiple Design & Controller Softwares (a plus) : Rhino 3D, MasterCAM, Blender, Z-Brush, NoMad, Auto-Desk Maya, V-Carve, Auto-CAD, Sketch-Up, etc.
● Metal Fabrication & Welding Experience: MIG/TIG, drilling, bolting, cutting, & forming.
● Experience with Conductive Materials.
● Experience with reading and executing engineering drawings & 3-D Design Models.
● Use of basic hand and power tools.
● Understanding of basic shop safety practices.
● Ability to maintain a clean and safe working area, which includes abiding by safety standards.
● Team-player with a positive attitude.
● Self-starter, takes initiative.
● Dependable, with reliable transportation on-time.
