Electrical Engineering Manager (Salary Range: $181,440/yr - $198,605/yr): Manage the Electrical Engineering design team to deliver existing products on time and under budget. Lead new product development for next gen platforms. Generate and execute design processes that will grow with the company and ensure an appropriate level of engineering expertise is applied to each product. Work with the program team and upper management to deliver status reports to the rest of the organization. Provide project scope, resource estimation and schedules to align with overall company goals. Responsible for design decisions and tradeoff studies to ensure the optimal balance of performance and value. Work with all engineering disciplines to ensure the final product meets all technical and commercial requirements. Work with commercial teams (Programs and Supply Chain) to ensure cost targets and schedules are met. Work with all stakeholders to integrate final design in vehicle or subsystem. Work with test and validation team to verify functional operation to technical specification. Assist in the development of detailed DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Reports) plans, including statistical confidence intervals. Ensure all product issues are identified, logged, tracked, and resolved during each testing phase.

Travel required 35% (25% domestic; 10% international).

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related technical field and five (5)years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as an Electrical Engineer, Lead Engineer, or a related occupation.

SKILLS: Must have experience in:

1. Producing documentation to support technical robustness of design, including Worst Case Analysis, Circuit Simulations, DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), and Functional Safety Analysis.

2. Working with PCB (printed circuit board) designers to layout designs and generate manufacturing files.

3. Proficient in Altium Designer software package for schematic capture and PCB layout.

4. Circuit theory and general electronics design practice including communication networks, SMPS, and Analog and Digital design.

5. Product development from concept and architecture to qualification and launch.

6. Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
