We require a Junior Engineer or Facility Technician.
This job requires both understanding a variety of facility machinery, and hands-on engineering.
Our company manufactures leading edge, high tech high power semiconductor lasers and uses a variety of machinery.
Your job will be to acquire an understanding of all this equipment. You should become familiar with how it is used and what it can do, how it needs to be maintained and cared for, when we need to contact the manufacturer for calibration, and what new developments in this type of equipment might be useful for the company, and more of this sort of thing.
The ideal candidate is someone who has always loved machinery; learning about it, and thinking about what it can do and how it works.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or hands-on (experimental, or applied) physics. Experience is desirable but not essential.
Depending on your experience you may begin at a supervised, junior level, but if you love the job and are good at it, you can rise very rapidly.
Because of the nature of our devices and our clients, the candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
