Description
This role is for someone who excels at explaining intricate technical information to the non-technical user. We're looking for driven individuals who are most productive in an active and positive environment. If that sounds like you, Robert Half Technology has a Desktop Support Technician role that may be the position for you. We especially want to hear from motivated candidates with effective problem-solving abilities. Located in the Los Angeles, California, area, this Desktop Support Analyst role is short-term temporary in nature.
Major responsibilities
- Retain, investigate, and restore computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
- Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
- Create records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
- hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
- Supply computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Rectify computer problems, and suggest appropriate action/solutions
- Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

Requirements
- Desktop support or related experience
- Experience writing procedure manuals, user instructions, business correspondence, and general report writing
- Skills in Microsoft Windows
- Earlier work involving Microsoft Office 365
- Command of Desktop Imaging
- Computer Imaging experience desired
- Well-founded grasp of Apple iOS
- Proven knowledge of Apple Devices
- General familiarity with Apple iPhone
- JAMF Casper Suite experience highly desired
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office Word
- Refresh experience preferred
- Previous experience working with Microsoft SCCM
- Practical knowledge of Apple OS
- Strong familiarity with imaging
- Quality experience with Apple Macintosh
- Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Office
