Back of House (BOH) Positions - Prose
We are looking for enthusiastic kitchen team members to provide an excellent culinary experience at Prose. Long-term experience is not required, as we are committed to developing our team members. Candidates must have a passion for hospitality and culinary excellence.

Junior Sous Chef
BOH Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items with precision and attention to detail.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance.
Assist in receiving and properly storing kitchen inventory and supplies.
Work collaboratively with FOH staff to ensure timely and quality food service.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor food quality and presentation to uphold Prose’s high standards.
Support dishwashing and kitchen cleanup duties as needed.
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff (for Junior Sous Chef role).
Collaborate with the culinary leadership team to execute menu changes and improvements.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven working experience in a kitchen role (cook, prep cook, dishwasher, or junior sous chef).
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to gaining and maintaining knowledge of our menu offerings.
Ability to keep the kitchen organized, stocked, and clean at all times.
Leadership skills and kitchen management experience (for Junior Sous Chef role).
Relevant training certification (e.g., California Food Handler Card).
