Zooies is a homegrown, independently owned, SoCal cookie shop that has been taking the national cookie scene by storm We are interviewing for a Bakery Chef to join our growing leadership team. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone passionate about food, baking, and cookies This position will take the culinary lead at our current location in the Cheviot Hills/Palms area and will be an integral part of our growth to a second location in Santa Monica, which is slated to open this year during Q4.

REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 3 years experience working in a bakery or production facility as the chef or kitchen manager
Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Reliable transportation to and from work
Work well in a team atmosphere
A love for delicious pastries
A valid Food Handles certification
A hunger to learn and grow
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily production calls for bakers
Raw product inventory & orders
Prepared product inventory
Cookie storage and rotation
Cookie research and development
Hiring, training, and coaching
Scheduling
Stocking and organization of the location
Cleanliness and sanitation
As the Bakery Chef/Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our bakery operations. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bakery, from food preparation to staff management. Your leadership skills, culinary knowledge, and attention to detail will contribute to the delivery of high-quality bakery products.
