The BLUE MOON LOUNGE is looking for a BARBACK/SECURITY. This is a BARBACK/SECURITY position, NOT BARTENDER! Its 80% Barback 20% security Job. Looking for one individual.
Are you looking to get into the Nightlife or the bar industry with little or no experience This job might be for you.
Availability: Flexible but will be 10pm -close (2am). Currently need Saturday and Sunday nights, possibly Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday… People call off some days so depends. If you can only do a couple of these days that's COOL too. But those are the days that I need. PLEASE DONT APPLY IF YOU CANT DO THESE DAYS DAYS.
Our hours of operation: Mon - Sat 4pm-2am, Sunday 10am -2am
NIGHT SHIFT Your Shift would start at 10pm… (Not leaving exactly at 2am)
We would like to find the right person to add to our staff.
This position includes the following, but not limited to:
Ability to lift heavy items (Kegs), stand for extended periods of time, meet physical and scheduling demands,
Must have a willingness to learn new things, personable, outgoing, and energetic team player with a positive attitude.
BarBack Requirements:
MUST BE 21 years of age or older
Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, ability to handle tense situations with coworkers and customers calmly and rationally.
Courteous, friendly personality and professional appearance
Knowledge of bar items; including beers, wines, cocktails, and liquors a plus.
Observant, thorough and responsible
Basic math and computer skills
Strong sense of urgency and be able to multi-task
Responsibilities:
Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, collect empty/dirty glasses and stock glassware.
Assisting with closing duties, such restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, napkins and emptying trash receptacles
Checking taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs or changing out kegs, if needed.
Pick up food, drink spills, broken dishes, and bottles
Refill ice wells and other jobs not listed above
